Internal and external views of the piece - I used a found filing cabinet and redid the interior. Designed to be back lit, as shown above. Final project for figurative sculpture. I created partially transparent molds from rice paper and matte medium, with photo transfers.

I think I would like to explore more in this direction, but feel that anything larger than a back is too much hassle to do purely with rice paper - I'd need to create a plaster mold to build off of, I think. A summer project, perhaps.
