Figuration
Medusa
Date: 2007-02-16
A combination of design, and art class. The base was built to suit the sculptures we'd put together in art, and both were handed in together for midterms. The plaster sculpture was cast from our body, to start with. It doesn't resemble the arms I used to hold into it except in scale - it relates. Once it set, I worked with what came out of the bag to produce this. Graphite powder was mixed in with the dental plaster to give it a more mottled look. I like how the photos turned out - took some care in setting them up.
